KEEPING THE THREAD ON TRACK....


What we need:

DJ's and maybe live acts

Promoters willing to find venues and promote in their town, possibly get in touch with other promoters

People to get in touch with Clubs/Venues to play at (people on the inside who could hook us up... etc)

Transportation (Minibus, Driver etc..)

A possible contribution from a higher power (maybe a fundraiser i.e. get together somewhere and put on a big party charging on the door and all the money would go towards the tour...)

A couple of videocameras and still cameras.

Anyone who knows people that can help with this, get this off the ground and into the planning stages.


Any and all suggestions greatly appreciated.

I don't think it'd cost huge amounts to do. Depends how clubs and bars operate in different cities, but I believe that if the right places are approached then we might be able to find venues that'll put us on for not much dollar, or maybe nowt at all. The biggest cost will be transport, which should be able to be recouped on ticket sales. To be honest, everything depends on how 'big' this thing wants to be. For the purposes of getting this thing started and ensuring we don't all go broke, I'd suggest that we stick to small- to mid-sized venues (something like 250 max. capacity). That way we can also ensure a reasonably full place. Plus, it's always easier to get nights at those sorts of places as opposed to huge super clubs!

I'd love to play at a few dates if people are happy with that, perhaps we all submit mixtapes and a vote can be taken on who gets to play?

Also, how do we want to organise the running order once we know who is playing? We could:
1. Have each act headline in their respective cities
2. Have each act headline at a city other than theirs (which could be fun!)
3. Have the same running order across the entire tour, which would make some sense in terms of advertising/etc.
Of course, this is not an exhaustive list of options!

It'd be ace if we could get some of the bigger names from the forum involved...how about it?

not if its a long thing...but for one week or maybe even two...

here you have your international spanish guest! :P or maybe we (as theAmplid) could do a guest appearence at one of the shows...hehe

we have a little uk tour planned (well...still planning it...) in february, a nice moment to check us out and decide to book us for the forum tour! hehe
