yeah I was just curious because this vid got posted on a french rock forum and the general consensus was that they were "tarted up like whores". I was just wondering if I'd hear the same from boys that are used to something other than ladies wearing as much shapeless gray, black and white cotton as possible ;)
I personally thought the only extreme thing was their eye-shadow, but that it had been done in a sort of 80's spirit like the song and the rest of the video.

i do think boys will be boys to a certain extent- no matter what ur age, just the older u get, the more
sensitive you become to others' feelings, and thats not in reference to you MB, but u no what i mean,
as u get older u learn- that there is time and place for everything,
i dont think women are "discriminated" massively, just when the sexes "split" u seem to notice it more, cause boys seem to gang up more and get this tribal caveman feel, a bit like on this thread, but together the groups are "relatively" equal, well id like to think......

I do think they're wearing WAAAAYYYYY too much makeup. Which is a shame, as they're really pretty girls.
I want the singer's boot things. Those are amazing. But I have NO IDEA how the drummer plays in heels that high - I can barely play drums in trainers.
The clothes are kind of ridiculous, though. They dress like 12 year olds let loose in Top Shop, when really they'd look a lot cooler if they were a lot more understated. I think I like the bassist's outfit best, but, like... girls always look 10000x cooler when they're holding a Rickenbacker. I don't know what it is about girls and basses, but it's just a sexy look.

MW, I think it's just the world over - women are judged by their appearances, men by their accomplishments. It doesn't really matter what they wore, there would still be derogative comments made about some aspects of their appearance. Too sexy? They're sluts. Not sexy enough? They're munters. You can't win. It's just the patriarchy's way of keeping women in their place. Or, not even the patriarchy, but stupid teenage boys who have no way of exercising any real control over the actual women in their lives.
