I remember when the label I was working for dealt with that Tiesto/ Busta rymes/ Diplo single. Tiesto put on 5 nights in Vegas, 1 night every month or something, and those shows were BIG. His 'wage' for this shows was nowhere near 500k each, I know that for a fact, and considering he's probably the highest paid DJ right now, I reckon those figures are a little off. This is where I'm coming from - I'm privy to the fees a lot of the biggest DJs get for doing the biggest clubs and festivals in the UK, and also titbits about their Vegas fees, and none of them come close to £500k per show. Its just completely unviable for a promoter to stump up half a million for 1 DJ, as a standard DJ fee they'd expect. Comparing it to a product endorsement from one of the world's biggest pop stars is absurd btw. A DJ set is a one-off event with enormous risk of losing money if it goes awry - an endorsement is a much more nebulous thing to measure the success of, and lasts considerably longer than 1 night. RE: The 30 richest DJs in the world - charles - 2012-06-24 23:08:00 I can tell you that Afrojack is currently getting more than 10k per show. RE: The 30 richest DJs in the world - Evangelink - 2012-06-25 09:56:24 ^ And of course you need to add on his fee for teaching Paris Hilton how to DJ... He probably gets more than that per remix, and seeing as he can probably knock those out at a rate of about 4 per hour... Well, that supports my point even more. My point was that he can earn his net worth easily in a year.
