hey so ive known about them since the alice practice ep.. but never really got into them untill now (just got their two albums), would like to know more about them, but i can only find some bogus written interviews and like one video thats pretty shit anyway.. are there any places on the net that i can just read abit about them or watch some interview vids with ethan and alice?
or do they do a REALLY good job of keeping out of the media?

Yeah good luck, I saw them play live and it consisted of the chick rolling all over the floor singing (if that's what you'd call it) while on some type of drug. This was about a year ago so hopefully it's different.

love CC there's like one interview on YouTube but it kinda sucks like you said . I'm sure they just like to be mysterious and don't like talking to the press much , .

I always mix them up with Crystal Fighters. One of them should change their name, seriously.

I read in Dazed&Confused a year or two ago that they are just generally very quiet people, the interview spread over about 4 pages but only had a few paragraphs of spoken word from either of those 2. Ethan apparently only owns a handful of clothes (all black), a picture of jesus, his music eq. and a shitty bedsit. And he said that he isn't even sure if Alice lives anywhere, apparently she just comes and go's from his shitty bedsit, and that they don't really spend any money or anything like that. Could have been a bit put on but it was a good read, i'm sure you could find it easily enough, hope this helpszz

I remember when I saw CC at Glastonbury 09, and they pulled the plug on their set four songs in as she kept ignoring the safety crew and climbing up the side of the stage. Seen them quite a few times now, and she still fucks about on stage and in the crowd constantly.

I actually do like both albums a lot, but I don't think the live show is ever quite as impressive. Except when synth guy gets to play his 8-bit filtered arp lines, with shitloads of white noise and atmospherics inbetween the main tracks. I could listen to that all day.

Saw them in Montreal during Osheaga. They played a 30 min set and like Evangelink said Alice would climb over the barrier and stand on top of the crowd and sing incoherently.

She has to be on something during their gigs; she's rolling everywhere and I can't understand a bloody word coming from her mouth. It was just a bunch of whomps pounding my ears for 30 min.

With regards to the stealing, as far as I've heard they stole some elements of someone else's chip-tune track and used it in very old unreleased demo track. If it's true then it's really shitty of them but given that it's a pretty obscure old and their mostly famous for the music in their two albums (which is where their best stuff), I would still say I like them as artists.

If I'm wrong then do correct me though.

i don't get their music. not trying to offend anyone or talk shit about the band. i'm actually a quite positive person. i just don't find any attraction towards their music and have no reaction to it whatsoever, except the urge to press the mute button after a few seconds. i get that same reaction when i listen to rebecca black - friday.

watched a few clips of their live shows on youtube and what i only hear is a girl who is drugged out of her mind (or at least pretending to be) screaming throughout a poorly produced music. again this doesn't excite me.

but who am i to speak. i listen to bloodbath after listening to a track by redman and in the middle of that i would enjoy clair de lune by claude debussy. so don't be hating on me cc lovers...

^ Think it was called Insecticon? And I'm pretty sure the same vocals from that ended up on Doe Deer.

I was listening to 'Violent Dreams' last night by CC. Really great slow electronica.

the same drum patterns/samples they stole from Covox are still present in their first album, namely on Alice Practice & Love and Caring- not to mention they're still selling that broken nose Madonna shirt on the sly.
