Last night, Peter Hook joined London electro outfit autoKratz live on stage in front of over 10,000 fans at Summer Sonic festival in Tokyo.
The collaboration brought the sold-out event to a close, following shows from Underworld, Primal Scream, A-Trak and Vitalic, whilst the festival also featured the massive Hooky-curated Hacienda stage with Andy Fletcher (Depeche Mode), Alan McGee and 808 State. The ex-New Order / Joy Division man joined autoKratz for Becoming the Wraith, the track which he recorded with the band earlier this year for their second album 'Self Help for Beginners'. The show also saw autoKratz cover Primal Scream's Swastika Eyes to a rapturous reception in the packed hall. autoKratz Singer David Cox was delighted to share the stage with him: "To play with one of your heroes like Hooky, in front of a mental crowd like that, was a such a special experience; without doubt one of the best I've ever had." You can see video of the collaboration with Peter Hook here: The set list for the show was as below: 1. Always More 2. Opposite of Love 3. Pardon Garcon 4. Skin Machine 5. Gone Gone Gone 6. Last Show 7. A-Train 8. Made of Glue 9. 1000 Things 10. Stay The Same 11. Swastika Eyes ------------------------------ 12. Becoming the Wraith (with Peter Hook) |
