I was at that too, Friendly Fires acted like spoilt little pricks at that, not listened to anything they've done since. Good night though :)

Just a really inspired choice of venue, really like it when promoters do stuff like that :)

What´s special about it? The size? "attic" sounds small ;)

I like to do these things, too - but it often turns out to be a really expensive experience for the promoter. The break even point is really set high if you have clubs that have to be sold out to pay all the costs...risky adventure sometimes!

Nice lineups!

What's Saki then? Just a small club/bar?

definitely, switch was something we were never going to make our money back on, but to put someone like that in a venue like we did, i dont think anything like it will be done again. plus it was out birthday week, so we wanted to do something a bit special.

saki is about 200 capacity, i think what people find funny is that its just the upstairs of a jamaican bar and its not often you get decent acts playing there. although, i think more nights are using it this year as the attics pricing policy has changed and they have restraints on the sound levels.

whatever the venue though, proxy will destroy things and expect a good set from felix cartal!

It used to be a Resteraunt, so the downstairs still looks like one and the upstairs is kind of like a boozer / cafe in terms of appearence, its also got a pretty cool smoking balcony upstairs too. Its not in the centre of Manchester, its just in Rusholme at the start of the Curry Mile (google it if you dont know what I'm chatting on about...) Plus there is no dedicated DJ Booth so he'll be up real close with the crowd.

So, its just a bit different from sticking him on at a shiny purpose built club. So well done to P&P (again) think this will be a top (if not sweaty!) night.

200? Nice!

What's the soundsystem like in Saki, 'cause I imagine Proxy gives it some punishment.

the house system aint special, but we will sort it out.

the system we had for switch was the most rediculous thing ever.
