Friday the 21st of November sees the launch of our new monthly party...

TOURIST @ The Cosmic Ballroom.

For our opening party we've pulled in 2 absolute legends of modern electronic music, as well as an underground duo who are set to take the music world by storm.

Room1

Justin Robertson (LionRock)

Midfield General (Skint)

+ Support from Geoff Leopard

Room2

In Flagranti (Codek, Kitsune)

+ Support from surprise guests!

DJ Bios...

JUSTIN ROBERTSON

One of the few UK electronic producers / artists for whom the the title Living Legend legitimately applies, Justins DJing career started way back in the seminal Madchester Era, where he could be found gracing the decks at clubs such as "Spice" and "Most Excellent".

These days, Justin divides his time Between DJing, with residencies at London institutions "Bugged Out" and "Together" and producing, with remixes for a whole host of artists including Felix Da Housecat, ChickenLips, Kiki and Bjork.

Expect an Acid soaked mix of Ravey Electro and Techno from the man so iconic that even the Chemical Brothers name him as an influence.

MIDFIELD GENERAL...

... is the production alias for Damien Harris, Skint Records head Honcho, Founder of the Big Beach Boutique and Fatboy Slims Boss!

Damien has burst back on the scene in a big way with recent single DISCO SIRENS (featuring guest input from by Justice, Soulwax and Bumblebeez!), which has been destroying dancefloors across the globe.

After producing Justice's smash single D.A.N.C.E, Damien has been been busy finishing of new Album "General Disarray" for which he relocated to France and worked with the ED BANGER family.

As a DJ, Damien's career The Coco Club at The Zap in Brighton, The Heavenly Social, Bugged Out, Reading, Glastonbury and various places around the world, with the highlite having to be the legendary Big Beach Boutique on Brighton beach, where Damien played to 250,000 people.

Expect an everything-but-the-kitchen-sink blend of all thats good in current electronic music.

IN FLAGRANTI

Cross ABBA and ADULT. and give the resulting offspring some cocaine and a good sequencer, and you'd get something close to In Flagranti, the alias of worldwide scenesters Sasha Crnobrnja and Alex Gloor, a mysterious Brooklyn Duo who play everything close to their chest and let the music do the talking.

Taking in and spitting out sounds as varied as House, Disco, Punk, No Wave in much the same way as Justice and Daft Punk do, but with a sensibility more rooted in classic techno.
Their recent album "Wronger Than Anyone Else" was released on their own label CODEK and is a 17 track monster which manages to start of with medieval italo synths and end up on Hillbilly Techno, via Sleazy Electro Disco and Euphoric Funk.

One fan is Ivan Smagghe who decided to use their track "Just Gazing" to open up his awesome mix odyssey "How To Kill The DJ Vol.1" (Tigersushi).

Expect an unrepeatable mix of Dark Disco & Warm Techno with Clean Synths and Dirty Drums.
