This Glade "spiced apple" or something is really chemically horrible - am reluctant to drop 30 on a Diptyque, but want a nice smell - any ideas please?

I bought a "destiscents" candle that smells really good and fills up the room nicely.
It's "tropical breeze / island palm / aqua seas." Yankee candles are pretty terrible just fyi and they are really expensive. SoundCloud / MySpace / Facebook Tempest Disco: "cos we're dancing in the dark BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR DJGH DJGH DJGH DJGH DJGH" |

Didn't expect to see a topic on scented candles on here, but I used to work for The Pier (Pier 1 in the US?) who have a massive range, some good some bad!

Anyone know Chester at all? You know the Candle Shop on the rows? My Family used to own that, so I used to get bare free candles when I was kid...
I well used to be into American Candles before they got popular, way before the backlash, although I do feel they have become pretty commercial these days... |

I have no idea what make it is but i found an apple scented candle on the road outside my flat a couple of weeks ago, that had been dropped, was brand new just the glass it was in abit cracked, so i rescued it , and took it in, and am looking after it as if it was one of my own! We have great times together!

If you have a dragon or faux African sculpture incense burner in your house, you need a slap.

I vaguely remember once seeing and advert for that horrendous Jessica Simpson MTV show "Newlyweds". She had bought this ridiculous huge candle and was going on about the amazing scent of it. Her mate was like "What scent is it Jessica?" and she looks at the label and goes "ehh....Unscented." What a tool.
