Does anyone have any inside info re the End closing parties? According to the End's website the closing weekend will be 23/24 January. I've heard that the final Bugged Out will be 17 January. The final Durrr? Any advances?

is this really going to be the final Durrr? I can't imagine it wouldn't be moved elsewhere, it's pretty popular after all

durrr will be moving elsewhere, so the last durrr at the end will not be the final durrr.

i did see too a while ago that erol is djing at bugged out/the end on 17th jan.

So what's the betting on where Durrr will move? And where will be Bugged Out's new home? There's no Canvas, Key, Cross or Turnmills. Fabric's too established, Matter's too far away, Ministry is, well, too Ministry. Scala? Egg? Everywhere else is probably too small. Or perhaps somewhere a bit different: Corsica Studios, Unit 7, Area?

Simian were going to be playing live at Heaven on Friday 12 December. But that's been cancelled. I think because G-A-Y has moved from Astoria to Heaven. Simian will now be DJing at East Village that night.

With G-A-Y now at Heaven there's no room there for Bugged Out. And while East Village is pretty cool it's way to small. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

How about Durrr at Koko?

koko is horrible, would definitely not fit there at all and you'd probably get a totally different (worse) crowd!

I heard Durrr was going to Matter, but that clearly can't be true.

Fire perhaps? If they're doing that NYE there, maybe it'll become a permanent fixture. Unless it's only a one-off special.

But there's no info re when tickets are going on sale. I'm keen to know as these are going to sell out fast. Anyone know any more?

That Saturday 24th lineup looks great. Will clearly cost all your limbs though...

Just noticed on that ents24 link, in the description for the closing party, Erol's blurb says "The only DJ besides John Peel to have the crowd at Fabric chant his name after his set."

Surely there must have been lots of other DJs whose names have been chanted, right?

I remember seeing Sasha and DIgweed there on day 2 of Fabric in 1999... They chanted Sasha' name from record 1 til the end!! It was like a football match. Rave horns and everything. I had my 'smart' shoes on in case the doormen didn;t let me in.
