In a world full of American Pies, Meet The Spartanseses, Adam Sandlers and Wayans Brothers films, this is surely an exaggeration? It's not great, but there's a lot of competition for a place in the shit barrel.

Yeah, throw in a vote for Lynch's creepy not-horror being better than a hell of a lot of normal horror. Eraserhead in particular but also the Peaks film and Inland Empire. Like really unsettling nightmares, far better than mindless excuses for bloodletting
Aye....there's nowt more terrifying than nightmares because they can't be rationalized or dissected properly. Which is why I'd say Lynch is a horror director and people should stop whining about Inland Empire not making any sense ;) It's a tough watch, but it's more unsettling and thought-provoking than any other film from last year. VFM.

I'd not seen that website....cheers for the link.

Sounds like you're thinking of John Carpenter's The Fog there. Dead pirates, so I guess they're zombies. Remade a couple of years ago all crap and that. On a JC note, I watched the remake of Assault On Precinct 13 the other night......what a load of cock.

I thought this was a steaming pile of garbage. Shit effects. Weird/annoying acting and that ending was a frigen joke. So quick to shoot his son! Wait untill theres something in the car and then shoot! It was more like a comedy than a horror film. One star..........

could've been the best horror film in ages if they changed the monsters for something else, maybe something that we never see, but they had to respect the book i guess.

got asleep at the middle of it and woke up to get shocked by the ending. expect a sequel with Gordon Freeman on it.

I'm pretty sure the guys who made Half Life openly admit that the premise is based off the Stephen King novel (or short story, I unno) that the film is also based on

It's no Dreamcatcher!

Now that's an ending!

Crap film, class ending.

Crap acting, plays all of it's monster cards far too quickly, and the Playstation enemies look fucking awful. Would have lended to the film far better if they didn't have so many closeups of them.

Thank god the silly fanatic bitch got, ahem, "pwned" though.

Could have easily chopped out 40 minutes of it though, and save the rest of the tripe to the people odd enough to buy the DVD.

Now this is how it started, my dreams all broken hearted yet i want you, baby.
