All the bundles are standard everywhere from the looks of it.

Amazon give you a free HDMI cable though, which might swing it, and an extra game for £10 which includes Halo3 depending on what mood they are in.

for god sake get halo3 and a subscription to xbox live online, goodbye free time.

if your into driving games, get need for speed (all available titles) and burnout (fast, crashing fun)

i was going to do this before i splurged too much on xmas presents, but like when sorting out my mobile phone contract, whichever way i did it, it ended up being the same price.

Getting an arcade is pretty much pointless due to the utter lack of memory, so i looked at getting a second hand 40 or 60GB from game or gamestation (about £140) but then by the time i'd bought a game, it ended up being £160/170 so i may aswell have just got a new package deal, so i decided to leave it til january.

The best console offers are on the last page of here normally:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/show...st15558065

comet are doing a 360 pro for under £160 i think (w/ free delivery)

and id highly recommend ebay (you'll save yourself about £50 i would say) but then obviously you have no receipt if it goes wrong!

I got a 60gig premium free with my mobile phone contract. Great deal.

HDMI cables are like a fiver if you buy a normal non branded cable and are perfectly fine unless you're wanting to play sound through an amp or something.

Also, second hand games from HMV are fine and an absolute bargain.

I want Gears of War 2 but haven't got a wireless aerial (£50!) for my Xbox yet.

I done a blog.

Gonna go with that HMV deal I think and see if I can somehow wrangle them to swap Kung Fu Panda and Indiana Jones for something better.

Gears of War!

See you in a couple of weeks...

Try eBay?

I think that Indiana jones game is supposed to be pretty decent so maybe don't swap it?

Are they? I thought it was just that Woolworths going under had buggered up their supply schedule because they sourced most of their stuff through their wholesale arm?

My 360 is in a box under the bed.

Sent it back for repair for 3 red lights and got it back with an American plug, it doesnt recognise its got a Hard Drive plugged in and everything is a slight shade of green.

I wouldnt touch an xbox on ebay because of so many horror stories like Broadys. You want a guarantee on it for defo.

Halo 3 will eat into your life if you let it, its just so good online. I shudder to think of the amount of time ive spent slumped in front of the screen with it.

i got my Xbox 360 as a 'free gift' by doing one of those affiliate marketing things.

I had to get 12 people (friends and family) to sign up and play £5 on a certain bingo site (which i'm not going to plug any more than I already have) and walla they sent me a brand spanking new 40 gig xbox 360.

Bought the HMV bundle on Monday and I haven't really done much else since.

Gears of War 2 is so so completely boss.

I'm already pining for XBox Live...

Just saw the 60gb version advertised in my local zavvi for £149, dunno if it's nationwide though. Get a wii lad, give your noodly arms a workout.

Do NOT get a chipped one. The allure of 3 games for 25 quid afterwards may seem amazing but they just aren't reliable. Ours takes about 30 minutes sometimes to load up a proper game. It keeps saying "to play this disc please put it in an XBOX 360 console", you can't play online with chipped games because you get banned as well.

Im not into computer games at all but what i do know is my mates grief with Xboxs (3 deadin 12 months) and the red light of death, there is a very good article on the Guardian about the problem as microsoft are deliberately sending out defective xboxs as the cost of rectifying the design fault weighs more than replacing them...

just look at google to see the problems
