As our city lies oppressed under a light dusting of frost and Londoners collectively huddle together for warmth swapping their day glo garms for woollier, less striking apparel, Camden’s premier indie-electro-disco-burlesque-carnival Be says NO! Enough is enough. We may be cold but we will always be stylish, who needs flannel pyjamas when we can keep ourselves warm on the dance floor and raise our temperatures with some of the finest music this country has to offer.

To that end the Proud Gallery will resound this weekend to the fiery sounds of Thomas Tantrum, hailed by The Guardian as "a hot and sweaty hisy-fit, both guileless and knowing, frustrating and charming", the NME as "a rare example of genuine dancable twee indie disco-pop" and The Times as "an art rock party band. All wit and fizz here." I’m feeling hot and bothered already!

If that wasn’t enough jetting in from the US are hammjamm band Still Flyin’ not quite sure what that means but it sounds tasty and if it’s good enough for Moshi Moshi it’s good enough for me. The band are over in the UK for a brief tour and have given up spending January in the infinitely warmer San Francisco, if that doesn’t deserve respect I don’t know what does.

Finally completing this week’s trio of special guests are Siren, Sirens who hailing from both New York and London should be well used to cold Winters. Only 5 months from their first rehearsal they are already rated by London’s finest indie record shop Pure Groove as the most exciting band in the city at the moment, and who are we to argue with that!

As ever keeping the party going till 2 will be Be’s fearless team of resident DJs David H, Clemence LaChance and John Power, with a hot mix of electro, indie, disco and new wave.

In the South Gallery The Non-Stop Electric Cabaret will continue to amuse and amaze in equal measure. Curated by London's celebrated sassy Burlesque artist Miss Vicky Butterfly and accompanied by a vintage rock n roll jukebox from the stables market stall holder, Bioux, expect a parade of the most weird and the wonderful burlesque acts London has to offer.

Since Proud Galleries re-launched earlier in the year, Be has been their flagship club-night regularly attracting up to fifteen hundred revellers each week. Spanning three rooms Be juxtaposes the finest performance art with spectacular live acts. In the four hundred capacity main gallery Be has built a reputation for showcasing some of the UK's fastest emerging talent such as Mystery Jets, Friendly Fires, Kissy Sell Out, Acoustic Ladyland to name a few.
