The Skinny:

"ONE MORE TUNE
BLACKFRIARS 10 JAN
Cropping up every 2nd Saturday of the month in the heart of the Merchant City is the well kept secret ONE MORE TUNE, aimed at the every growing population of skint revellers. Creators and resident DJs DEFINE DEFINE throw this party in the bowels of Blackfriars every month, allowing their favourite records to lead the way. No one genre sets here, just rug cutting and cheap booze aplenty. the first date of 2009 features RONNIE MUIRHEAD & AFFI KOMAN of SUNDAY CIRCUS, SHAUN FAE SOLAR of SUBCITY RADIO fame and residents DEFINE DEFINE. Come dance and sip your £2 pint in the shadow of neighbouring expensive cocktail bars as the world's banking system continues to collapse in on itself."

New year. New music. New hope.

Our 2 special guests this month are SUNDAY CIRCUS and SHAUN fae Solar (SUBCITY). There are many esses in the names – maybe it’ll be a Special night. The Circus lads have been tearing up their pad at the Courtyard for just over a year now but have garnered more acclaim than most club promoters can or ever do. Hype? Perhaps but as far as Glasgow underground dance goes their one of the few lights in recent years to really break through the glass ceiling.

Sunday Circus’s Affi Koman played the first One More Tune night way back when we were just finding our feet, ain’t it sweet when things come full circle? Expect a deep hypnoticism in their grooves and subtle shifts building over the set. They're dead good, and just a wee bit clever.

Shaun Murphy aka Shaun from the Solar Island show will be making his One More tune debut next month. The Subcity Radio hero knows his shit and we’re sure he’ll destroy Blackfriars come the tenth. Baltimore/Bassline with a touch of the ghetto and the electro about it means full swing party mode for the night.

Define Define host the night playing sounds from Pop to Disco to absolutely spankin' Techno to classic rock to 90s Dance to party Funk.

Get down on it. We’re in for a belter!
