Does anyone have any ideas where the best place to stay in Paris is? I just want to be near any nightlife, im staying for the Friday night, so will probably check the Rex Club unless anyone has any better ideas

The Rex club is more in Paris center,more than Bercy.So if you want to stay near the clubs ,you'll have to pick up an hotel more in the center.Try to find one near Les Grands Boulevards(rex area),you have plenty.
Near the rex ,you have the triptyque another club,which is not too bad,depends...Usually on friday nights @ Rex club,it's Automatik,the techno residency of the club.Usually good line ups.This month they have Boysnoize coming.

Their Marley Park gig in Ireland last year was their only one so far where they've chosen their own support. It was Justice, Digitalism and DJ Falcon, so maybe something along those lines for Bercy.
