ATLANTIC CONVEYOR BIOG
Disco. Dub. Hip hop. These are the three foundations that make up the sound of Atlantic Conveyor. Ever since Steven Tripp and Tubbs dropped the Fantastic Incidents EP in 2004, there has been a grass roots swell of support for these underground heroes. "Nasty Things" and "We Are" received fierce support from DJ’s as diverse as Gilles Peterson, Norman Jay, Laurent Garnier and Zane Lowe.

"Open Your Soul" was a natural evolution of Atlantic Conveyor’s sound: Paradise Garage pianos are fused with bang-up-to-date beats to create a three mix EP that received extraordinary club support from the Unabombers and Groove Armada as well as taste makers Rob Da Bank, Chris Coco (The Blue Room) and Annie Mac.The last year has been a flurry of activity: critically acclaimed remixes of bands as diverse as The Wombats, King Creosote, The Cribs, The Elektrons and Breaks Co-Op have taken them to whole new level of public awareness.Right now they’re putting the finishing touches on their new "Constancy" EP, preparing their record label Untracked for re-launch with releases from Hot Coins and Rui Maia, and DJing frantically from Ibiza to Singapore. So what’s next? Well, with a London and Ibiza club night that’s been lauded by Time Out, The Independent AND The Guardian as one of the hottest to come out of London (Discolexia) and a highly anticipated fourth Atlantic Conveyor release to come in the autumn, I’d say ‘09’s looking rather special
