Electronic per se: Gary Numan - Are 'Friends' Electric? (the first time) or Flying Lizards - Money
Electro (original definition): Grand Master & Melle Mel - White Lines (Don't Don't Do It) or Herbie Hancock - Rockit
Industrial: Ministry - Stigmata/Jesus Built My Hotrod (back-to-back in a goth club)
Electroclash: Peaches - Set It Off (at an Industrial night)
Current stuff: Justice - Waters of Nazareth

No advantage is achieved by bandying deprecatory epithets.

i was a proper indie kid until i went to ibiza when i was 17 and got converted (chemicals obviously helped!). was into trance then got into hard house but i was racking my brain there to think what tune got me into electro and i think this was one of the first ones i heard which made me go "what the hell is this shit?!"

Ha.
i was listening to this the other day. i still love it.

the track that gave me the kick up the arse that made me want to start writing techno was The Man Don't Give A Fuck live at the Hammersmith Apollo by the Super Furry Animals.

i was in the crowd that night, and as always they went off on a techno tangent with it, but this one lasted 15mins, before reverting back to the rock.

SFA OK!

da funk/around the world , fatboy slim , prodigy was where it all started when i was too young too really care too much

waters of nazereth and even erols and other EMs from around that time got me back into it . before then i had moved onto rock and hip hop and thought all good dance music had dissapeared and been replaced by trance.

global 06 sealed the deal though. that friday will never be beaten as far as im concerned

Almost the same

Da Funk on MTV led me to buy Around The World in my teens, the 1st piece of vinyl I ever bought in the nineties.

Then went all britpop, indie then gatecrasher red got me on the trance route....then stumbled across Justice & Uffie / we are your friends / waters of naz and a major rekindling of love for Homework, which led me to realise how much I really liked older stuff like Herbie Hancock, Grandmaster, Kraftwerk etc

Oh also before the trancey stuff I was almost a big fan of Prodigy & Faithless but not enough to go wild over the genre. I remember thinking Window Licker was amazing too but again didnt put much effort into finding more about Aphex

If I remember well, Daan - Housewife must have been one of the first electrosongs I really loved.

Some other of my first electro memories:
Black Strobe - Abwehr Disco
Kraftwerk - Aerodynamik (Etienne de Crécy & Alex Gopher remix)
Chikinki - Like it or leave it (Tom Neville remix)

Aaah, those were the days!
Before, I'm afraid I also have to admit I was in a small trance-period. ATB - 9PM Till I Come is still a little guilty pleasure of mine :)

The first Tiesto album, In My Memory.

Yep, I just said it.

Way back in the day Prodigy, New Order and the likes.

But recently for me was probably a few years ago when I started listening to Digitalism, Justice, Tiga, Boys Noize, Vitalic etc. Waters of Naz and We are Your Friends were biiiig tunes for me and they seem to be common ones. The Whistler and Deep Throat by Claude Vonstroke was probably when things got serious.

Stardust - Music Sounds Better With You / Hello My Name is DJ Falcon EP / Together - So Much Love To Give.

I was heavily into hip-hop and metal at the time and generally disregarded everything that didn't fall into those categories. I heard Stardust on the radio at some stage and fell in love straight away. I only really play filter house in the summer now, but it's still my first and greatest love.

I only really got into it around October/ November, but I'm COMPLETELY hooked now. :)

I've always been interested in the music, just never known how to get into it. Been a life long Daft Punk fan, and discovered Justice thanks to their single. Then I got the remixes by MSTRKRFT etc.... which gave me some names to research. I also bought Kitsuné Maison Compilation 6, which I made my first remix from (Lo-fi-fnk - Want U)

As for how I ended up here, I haven't a Gary Baldy. I'm bloody glad I did. :)

I remember my brother bringing that back from Manchester (he went to uni there 90-93 I think) and it just blew my mind.

Not really electro I suppose, but it was what first turned me on to dance music.

i always liked Homework, then i really loved Discovery, but that album and Fat of the Land were probably the only electronic albums i really listened to.
till i heard Never be Alone, that changed everything for me, then i saw Erol at Benicassim in 2006 and decided i was gonna be a dj :D

Those tracks started my interest in it but I only started really aroundd 15-16 when my mate showed me this Charles Siegling mix and I ventured on to THE Miss Kittin mix which starts off with Frank Sinatra onto dirrrrrty electro

I kinder drift in and out of styles but first time I was into dance music it was all chemical brothers/prodigy/ daft punk ect. & also I remember PPK - Resurection leaving a lasting immpression on me....

As for, I suppose, the "current crop" it was all about Vitalic - La Rock 01
