Fair enough dude. You may or may not be right. But I s'pose you can't blame people for responding the way they have when you lead your post with a diagram citing the cure-all properties of marijuana, and statements like "pot is not harmful to the human body or mind."

Nobody has ever died from it, (i believe this statement is true, however I accept that because i dont know enough about the medical side of it, I could be wrong. )

I know folk who have made cancer go away though with concentrated THC. Thats a pretty big kicker

Plenty of people have died from mouth, throat, lung and other malignancies directly related to smoking marijuana, and a fair few psychotic people top themselves.

Maybe you do, but there is no firm medical evidence for this (although research is ongoing, fingers crossed).

I'll bet I know a fair few more who have beaten cancer with conventional chemo/radiotherapy + surgery.

I think that the Le Coop is correct in what the main point is, hemp does sound like it can save the world, if it is more resourceful and isnt going to be harmful to the enviroment then it should be used.

But i cant see the change soon as it would be quite a dramatic change, even though higher members of parliment know that it would cut emmisions etc.

i find it hilarious, that still in this day and age people don't quite understand the ramifications this plant holds.... most palliative medicines derived from hemp, arent medicines they are thc based.... very little research is ever done into making actual medicines. controlled doses taken like most other medicines, medicinal marijuana laws are a joke.

more research needs to take place, but it's restricted use is the front runner in destroying most hypothesise presented before regulatory bodies, it's very hard to get hold of legal marijuana in order to conduct this research....

the propaganda surrounding this plant has far reaching consequences and is evident in other wise sound thinking people.

to farm hemp, is a good source of renewable energy, oil etc, i wont go into the long list.... but i also feel that if it were to be legalised we would surely see an awful lot of consequences, its the same with everything as soon as its potential is realised.... many such consequences such as deforestation, destruction of natural habitats for many of the worlds endangered species... the same way as palm oil has destroyed the habitat of the orangutan....
in fairness all i have to say is god bless the countries were research can be conducted without stigma, Switzerland once again steerheading a train of thought that in generations to come will be common place.

Hemp can be grown almost anywhere and quantities used for the same output are much smaller than say, cotton for example.

I dont agree with what you say about deforestation considering its uses would mean existing dorestation would drastically decrease.

It doesnt need to be grown in select climate, this plant is super hardy and even combats frost.
