because the tribe called quest sampled it, and they are the ONLY hip hop group worth quoting, De la soul and beasties are good of course but they get shat on by the alternative kids, which REALLY grinds my gears, anyways....

at BLUES legend BB King. Whilst growing up, my mum would play shit loads of the stuff, sometimes its a bit much but,

its sometimes nice to just admire the emotion poured out onto a guitar, this is a prime example, for me at least, where an instrument becomes apart of a musicians body, which is quite rare, miles davis used to do it on the mute trumpet...
