Any Scots planning to go see Erol and Utah Saints at Cabaret Voltaire Edinburgh......Ripping Records have tickets, bought a few myself today, and they're available through the Triptych website.

Death Disco at The Arches sold out in advance when he last played and their capacity is over 2000, while Cabaret Voltaire's is 450 so just a wee heads up.

Really don't know if it'll sell out but you can buy tickets from http://www.triptychfestival.com/main.html just in case ;)

And yeah, i live in sunny Edinburgh......are you the dude who organised the night at studio24 recently? If so i have to say i was mighty impressed. I'm in my 3rd year of an events degree and i've found it notoriously difficult to get anything like that off the ground in Edinburgh

A friend tried to get an extra ticket from tickets-scotland today and they said they could've sold it out 12 times over.....so if there is tickets on the door i'd suggest heading down VERY early.

Aye brilliant, though mentally sweaty. Very heavy set I thought...good though.

I unfortunately missed out on this one as I couldn't get the required time off work to get up there - absolutely gutted! Would've loved to hear Erol play in such a small, sweaty, intimate venue as Cab - can't think of anywhere better in Edinburgh for him!

Any particular highlights - did he pull off his Sweet Dreams trick again? How long did he play and were the Utah Saints much kop beforehand (or were they in the second room)?

Aye, a fantastic night all round! My t-shirt looked like I'd gone swimming in it. Mmmmmmmm....

Utah saints were pretty good, they just DJed before and after and played some 'cheesier' stuff (if you can call the Trentmoeller Royksopp mix cheesy!) which was very welcome after 2 hours of harder stuff. Already looking forward to Erols traditional pre-Chrimbo DeathDisco slot! :)

Oh, and yeah he did the Sweet Dreams thing too. Ace.

Yeah, have to agree it was a heavier set that i was used to from him but think i enjoyed it all the more for it. A few techno tunes i'd love to know the name of but other highlights were moving like a train/the race into patrick122 (horn heaven!!!), do it again, the daft punk edit and a remix of golden skans i didn't recognise. Also played his own remix with opus III but it sounded alot meatier. Great night.

Yeah that daft punk edit was awesome, probably the highlight for me.
