Has anyone else heard the rumour about Turnmills re-opening? Some reports say something about the Fabric team being behind it.

I was in the bar next door to Turnmills the other night and you can see that the club is still there (just in need of a good scrub!)

Anyone else heard anything??

yeah, why would they open another venue which (if i remember rightly, i'm not from london) just a short walk away from Fabric...

and yes Matter is just too far away from anything.. not ideal..

When I went to the closing weekend of turnmills they had a massive projection saying "GURNMILLS" as you walked in. Probably the best night out I've ever had right there. Fatboy Slim, Chemical Bros and Justin Robertson. :D. Only went to Turnmills twice but loved it both times.

Matter's a bit odd. Doesn't Fabric have things on everyday, and Matter only seems to operate Fridays and Saturdays. Hasn't it failed a bit?

It's a good club. Great sound, great line ups, AWFUL location. So depressing waiting outside in the cold for a bus which might not come to take you to somewhere you don't actually want to go to so you can transfer onto another bus.

Been to Matter twice and not really impressed. The sound is good but everything else about the place is just wrong.

Turnmills on the other hand was amazing

not been excited by a single matter line-up since it opened. except i think osawa played there, i would have maybe gone for that. i love osawa, but going all that way for one artist is too much of a mission for it to be worth while. fabric will do for now.

would love it if turnmills re-opened. never went, missed that boat.

Basically what you said. Matter has great sound and the layout is ok. It's downfall is it's location.
