Watched The Road on Saturday night. Can't remember the last time I saw a film that was as bleak as that. Really liked it though.

The Green Hornet - better than I expected, easy entertainment.
The Social Network - didn't live up to the hype, but inoffensive. The Next Three Days - average. Megamind - also average. True Grit - really bloody good. Being John Malkovich - fantastic, twisted and imaginative. KADKAD: ladies went scissors ;) |

Seen Rubber, better than I expected to be honest. Like Oizo says himself, it's a little boring in places but I enjoyed it overall.

Fight Club - Evidently incredible. Fifth or sixth time, it's no less incredible.
Disturbia - Tension and crap acting. Labeouf is good, though. Toy Story 3 - I Loled. Dinner For Schumcks - Underrated. quite amusing 'Unterschlagen' fest. Up in the Air - Lovely character study. Pointless, considerate, heartwarming and quality filmmaking, Now this is how it started, my dreams all broken hearted yet i want you, baby. |

'Currently in pre-production for Ocean Hotel, a feature film about Russian Mafia in New York City schedduled to be shot in New York City in 2010. Ocean Hotel also stars Kirk "Sticky Fingaz" Jones and Gabriel Francois.'

Insidious - trying to go back to old fashioned scares from the 60's rather than the whole torture porn/gore angle. Opening titles are unsettling and there are s couple of jumps in first half of movie but then it becomes stupid and unintentionally funny; just couldn't take it seriously and didn't care about any of the characters.
Did have a couple of good looking trailers before it though. An Italian movie called Angels of Evil which looks a bit like Romanzo Criminale and Baarder Meinhof Complex, definitely going to see that. Other was a Spanish horror film called Julias Eyes, which is produced by dame people as the Orphanage. The trailer was scarier than the whole of Insidious Many years ago there was light, and that light was the light which was lightening wobble wobble wobble and Erol danced; kids kept him dancing. This is an example of the holy power of apple crumble. |

Really looking forward to seeing Julia's Eyes, I saw posters for in when I was in Madrid at the tail end of last year and was stoked to see Guillermo Del Toro's name.

I saw Attack The Block the other night. It was OK, better than the trailer made it look.

The movies i watched in past 2 weeks.
Waiting For Forever - super boring No Strings Attached - completely unsuccessful try for a film The Mechanic - boring. gets a bit better towards the end I Am Number Four - meh Drive Angry - perfectly watchable crap. it's like Machete - brutal but funny but nowhere near as good. i wish there wasn't that fantasy at the end. not a good film. Lymelife - meh Love and Other Drugs - not bad, good acting by Anne Hathaway plus she is naked through the whole film, good deal. The Rite - another film bout exorcism. with Anthony Hopkins. it was alright but nothing too impressive. Didn't really enjoy neither one of them. |

Watched Let Me In yesterday. I'm a big fan of the original so wasn't expecting much, but really surprised at how good it was.
Not often an American remake can hold a torch to a foreign original. http://soundcloud.com/evangelink88 (2012-08-25 16:17:54)TempestDisco Wrote: BRWEEEEEEEEAGH BURR BURR BURR |

Just watched Lars and the Real Girl. Absolutely brilliant, Ryan Gosling is great in it. Really funny and really tragic at the same time.
Aristotle was not Belgian, the central message of Buddhism is not "every man for himself", and the London Underground is not a political movement. |

Red Riding Hood
Spectacular film, completely enjoyed it. I see much hatred on it at some places, but absolutely unreasonably in my opinion. The film is really well done, it couldn't be better. It's over any expectations. Also the music was great, 2 tracks by Fever Ray. The best film i've watched since Black Swan! |
