I had two movies last night.

Sucker Punch - Enjoyed it. It's perfectly watchable but the idea is not clear enough and the appeal is not well expressed. They wanted to say something but they couldn't do it properly. It is worth watching because of the battles, effects and hot young strumpets but that is all.

The Ward - New film by John Carpenter as a director. Not good at all. It's like i have been filming it. The plot reminds of Shutter Island a lot. The only stimulus to watch it to the end was Amber Heard and just to see how stupid will be the end itself. The budget is 10 million $ but it looks like low budget. Seriously bad work.

And something interesting i noticed. Insidious has a budget of 1,5 m $ (and profit 53 m $ , just for the record), The Ward has 10 m $ budget. But Insidious looks way more expensive and well shot than The Ward. It's not always a matter of money.
