Thanks for all of the feedback guys. Everybody involved in Field Day learnt a lot from our first year, and we're looking forward to improving in every way we can next year. I feel very priveleged to have been involved in something which drew such a pisitive, friendly crowd.
I should refer to the Bloggers 'arena' as well, as it seems to have confused some people... It was meant to be a tongue in cheek meeting place for some of the people that make London wha it is. The vibe was great while it lasted, and as is the inevitable consequence of an inner-city festival, once overall sound limits became too great, our tent had to be the first to go at the order of the council... And apologies for going so heavy on the smoke machine, it might have appeared to passers by that the place was on fire! :) facebook.com/casper.c.dj twitter.com/casper_c soundcloud.com/casper_c fielddayfestivals.com |

Was a great day out and one of the nicest crowds around.
I was expecting sound issues as I'd been told that Lovebox had suffered the same problems, and obviously it's not worth commenting on the 2 bars for 10,000 as it's been done to death. I still managed to get a few drinks in, but will probably go down the vodka-mixers smuggled in route next time. They searched my bag by tapping it once. Mystery Jets and Chromeo were some of the highlights for me. Although the smoke machine kept obscuring the stage for Chromeo and I probably lost about a litre of sweat during their set, it was great. Things can only get better? Oh, also, Duke Dumont what was that song you played with the lyric of something like "got to keep on moving"? Erm, I only remember really wanting to know what it was, so I wrote a little note in my phone. I don't remember anything about it other than that.. Sorry. |

Jamie_ Wrote:Was a great day out and one of the nicest crowds around.Yeah, agree totally. The Bugged Out tent smashed it all day for me. A big group of us plotted up in the trees between the main stage & there all day... Everything there was a little bit different which had to be credited... some of the stools where unique and individual. You guys certainly have the right idea, as it looks to be about the music first. Not making a sh*t-load of cash. Intrigued as to what next year's delights will be.... |

TBH.. So many people were throwing abuse about the day... but my group had no probs at all..
Got served within 20-30mins... (Buy in bulk... saves going back) Toilets were below average for a festival but have had worse.. But the music was hands down AMAZING!!!! Bumped into Chromeo and had a chat with them after there set.. I got tiped off by the events co-ordinator of myspace about the Myspace Bus and missed the last half of erol to get there in time.. (which was a big price to pay) But got on there for the JUSTICE set!!!! Had a chat with Zavier and Gaspard after the bus... Then got a good position for justice main set!!! Who ever was there will know what I mean about there DVNO mash up with D.A.N.C.E (justice remix).... Words cannot describe the amount of awesome that was!!! The only thing that can really bring that day down was that every sound tec on that day shud of been shot!!!! Went 2 c goodbooks 2 kill time... there mics kept cutting out.. Chromeo had the occasional glitch but was the best of all.. erols set sounded the best.. And the justice set was a DJ's worst nightmare!!! Sound constantly cutting, volume drops, disallowed any encore.... Felt quite sorry for them!!! But otherwise a good day!!! Whos going to see SURKIN on sat.. at TDK???? |

I think the bugged out tent was the only 1 which got it right... Ur set was awesome by the way.. I did see u after and gave u the kudos u deserved.. Erol's set was pretty hot aswell but cudn't even get in the tent... Was really disapointed with the sound tech's for justice tho.. It did bring it down a notch.. |
