hey all,

just wondering what the best hardware is the purch for synths/equip that justice/ daft punk use to make their very distorted guitar sounds etc.., pretty sure they all use gear mainly from the 70s like the arp odyssey and tr 909.. any ideas on an ideal setup..?

When you find out make as much of it as you can , there's not hardly enough of that sound being made at the moment.

aahahaha

anyways: a lot of justice's sound comes from them routing all tracks to a single FX send channel on their mixer and then putting FX on the entire mix (mainly heavy, heavy compression and eq). The distortion itself is pretty simple - I bet it's just a couple ableton live plugins.

Exactly they use a lot of stuff and not just simple ableton plug ins :) Limiters, compressor, replaced snare, gates and many many more. And it's obvious that such treated material can't be played live.
