I do like the James Blake pallet of sounds but there is a reason he sounds good using it, these cats just sound like they tacked it to a grid and listen to nothing else but the most generic 'post-dubstep' they can find. If you want something with that kinda pallet you don't have to look far for good stuff: Arkist - Fill Your Coffee / Kevin McPhee - Bridges / Ifan Dafydd - No Good / Lando Kal - Further / Etc... |

Nah I've heard quite a bit of it on ye'tube/soundcloud. You never hear them in mixes or on the radio for some reason, wonder why that is...
Just not feeling it, fair doos if people are, each to their own and they might get better but right now, nah. |

As to what soon means, who knows.. I think the Hugz/Champagne release was pushed back to October. |

for me its less about the drop than having a lil vandellas sing along in the middle of a bass set. was amazing when one of the numbers crew played it at besti, but yeah, not really something i need outside of the club.
any1 have any news on zed bias - music deep inside? i think its due out on swamp so im fearing it wont be out before 2012 |

For me it's all about the drop. When I'm listening to music I just need that bass, that buttery biscuit bass.

I've never heard of Rustie before but truly and honestly...this is Skrillex with a different coat of paint. It simply substitutes warbly basslines for energetic synths and melodies. And I'm not saying that's a bad thing. Unlike most people on this forum I think Skrillex is a really talented dude. His music is catchy and worlds better than anything Guetta or Tiesto crap out.
But it's just funny cause had this guy blown up instead of Skrillex I feel everyone would be hating on him instead. However, thanks for introducing me to Rustie cause his stuff seems cool. Edit: Lolololol, well I guess the forum substitutes "Barbar the Elephant" for Skrilly. Well played |

The only people I can really think of to compare Rustie to is Lunice or Hudson Mohawke.
Definitely wouldn't compare him to Skrillex. "I focused on the dubstep and forgot the garage and funky. I swore UK garage sounds different....but I listen to a lot of hardcore." |

Thanks for posting another track, that's a pretty sick hip hop beat.
But you still didn't answer the question. Regardless, another reason I make the comparison is because some of Rustie's stuff does border on "cheesy" at points. According to this forum Skrilly is basically the epitome of cheese. |
