Disclosure were brilliant at Lovebox today, so the highlight Of the day.

The new Hot Chip album really is great Saturday morning fodder.
Also, I'm kitten-sitting a eight week old Bengal kitten this weekend. I'm a dog person really but this little scamp might have me convinced. Although he keeps pouncing on my feet...

Was really impressed by Sonar, what a mental festival! Highlights included SMDs new live show, James Murphy, Julio Bashmore and Hot Chip finishing their set with Fleetwood Mac's 'Everywhere'. Goes without saying that the sound was a lot better than the majority of UK festivals i.e. I couldn't hear the person next to me speaking - which is always a bonus.

Primavera Sound in Porto still has a lot of work that needs doing (expected teething problems from a new festival) and it didn't help that the weather was absolutely shocking. The XX's new stuff is really enjoyable.

Roll on Bestival.

In 1994 while on weekend manoeuvres in France, I commandeered a Chieftain tank without the permission of my immediate superiors. I then attempted to invade Paris.

^ Yeah, Hot Chip did the Fleetwood Mac cover at Lovebox as well. I'm not a massive fan of theirs but was very cool.

Can't wait for Bestival either.

My girlfriend fell for me through my DJ-ing skills at a party. 10 years later, and she now won't listen to 90% of the music I buy!

In spectacular fashion? I can't wait until I quit my job, gonna walk into my boss's office, shout "I QUIT" and walk out all dramatic like. Never done that before, but my boss is a dick so...

Told him at the end of a shift and he was pretty pissed off. Very fun watching him try to emotionally manipulate me into staying.

He emailed me at 3am to say I can get a reference off him which was weird though.

^ wow, he clearly had trouble sleeping as he was so upset by your leaving. You should give him a hug before you leave.
