That's good news then! Where can I get hold of tickets for that?

Will Diplo be there too or is that just wishful thinking?!

this has actually made my day after been beaten by bloody koreans in my uni lab test thing earlier !

i was actually getting worried that the empire was going down the pan after play left ,

drink prices are going to be key though , play was cheap , fridays not been cheap is the main reason my mates wont go and go to sumo instead.

diplo might not be there but i think sinden will be. it says on his myspace he's supporting her on 11th which should be newcastle even though it says glasgow, which is wrong

And you know i'll be going to attempt to reignite some Justice Love. Their live show best of changed when that date comes around too.

So....MIA, looks like Im keen as Sinden is 100 % supporting her tour. Ticketmaster doesnt mention glasgow so its all good.

Also, chromeo is at Digital thu 22 nov with free entry into sweatlove afterwards.

Im getting tickets now for Midnight Juggs & Digitalism now so you there whoever goes

Can someone remind me of big BORO nights coming up, I knew there were some but forgot.

Was hoping Sinden would be there too, so can't moan at that too much! Will have to get hold of some tickets for this then. Anyone know of any aftershows? Aren't Tuesdays at Digital usually bog standard RnB, don't really want to hang around too long afterwards if that's going to be the case!

I got an email about the new saturdays at the Empire too, was going to post a similar message. In addition to Justice there's the return of Annie Mac, Durrr's Rory Philips and a DJ set from Kele of Bloc Party - given their apparent 'new direction' a set from him could be pretty interesting too. Looking forward to details of these over the next few weeks / months.

Sandstorm?! Oh dear! Maybe I'll give that one a miss then!

Having now given the article on Flux in NME a proper read through I'm thinking it may not actually be the greatest of sets. There's a small section "Kele's Dance Odyssey" of ten apparently inspirational tracks which includes Sandstorm, Dreamer by Livin' Joy and something from MC Neat amongst others (although to be fair most of the rest are quite good or at least forgivable)

He can easily play some serious black oriented music. Could belt out lots of baltimore and dirty south. Switch, sinden, herve, diplo, MIA etc They have such a varied set of tunes under their production never mind what they are willing to play on a DJ set.

I still have no idea how this night would work or what but maybe they are going for the educational route and trying to teach the mainstream rnb kids whats hot :-)

The Human League are playing the Sage in Gateshead on the same night as M.I.A. playing the Dare album in full, so........ I'm completely torn between the two now!

I know they're getting on a bit in years but I would still love to see these guys live, and the fact that they're playing THAT album in full for the first time is really tempting me but still not sure either way! The Human League are playing a gig in Sheffield on the friday prior to it which is an option, but I severely doubt my finances will stretch that far - if they were both a few days or a week later I'd be ok cos I get a bursary payment just before I finish for Christmas, but until then I'm a bit stuck.

Just an additional aside, I noticed on the Sage's website that there's a chamber concert going on in hall two on the same night with pieces from Haydn, Schumann and Brahms - love the contrast between the two!
