I was there, had a bit crack on with the punks, will hopefully see them again in London on the 13th if i go to fabric on 12th, was a good show. Dont think the indie kids appreciated the real electro much like but there were a good amount of people enjoying it. Geoff played some sweet tunes too. I say this all the time but ill put some pics and vids up.

Its monthly black magik. Jukebox is generally weekly with more electro in room 2 but the launch on fri was room 1 only. Im surprised there wasnt more people there but i guess Fridays are generally an indie night around newcastle.

Moved from Independent, Privelege is now under new management. Has a decent THU student night too and is bringing decent stuff rather than the likes of lisa lashes and the chav massif

Where is Privelage in Sunderland. Been a loooooong time since I drank over that way. I used to go to Uni there, but that was a few years back. In fact I started the year the business school and Manor Quay students union opened!

Wowzers, its come a long way since back then. Privelege is above brogans, right near an exit to the bridges, also near the inland revenue building and just round the corner from.....drum roll.......Idols!

Im gonna mention another dive but its opposite flares, i think the old pub under flares is the Londonderry.

Ha ha, you've made me feel really old!! I don't suppose there is any change it used to be the old Ku club (wouldn't surprise me with the old Ku-Privelage thing)

When I went to Sunderland the clubs were Annabels (above Idols) and Chambers (now a lap dancing bar I think) and just after was the Knite Club (classy as its name) in the bowling place (palace!)

Actually Privelage can't be the old Ku if its opposite the Londonderry (yep thats is flares)

Ku is still there. One of the first places to stay open til 5am long time ago. Still a full on indie mess of wasted souls every saturday, i miss it actually, havnt been for over 6 months.

My first year at uni was venturing into town and going to Chambers. Trying not to get into or involved in peoples fights. And annabels....only graced the place 4 or 5 times. Yep its a long way different now. About 5 times more bars without joking and a selection of clubs, nothing very electronic club wise but plenty other stuff. Its a good night out if youre not out specifically for the music, or you are out soecifically for mainstream music like the masses are

Oh and the Palace, still the best club ever on a Monday night, its been years since it closed
