im coming down leeds in september. think it would be better if you got a shop job or a place which runs a chain of businesses so when you come home for the summer you can be transferred to one closer to home

I found it pretty tricky to get a job in Leeds that was alright... tried for ages then ended up working in a call centre after I graduated. Apparently Leeds is the call centre capital of Europe, so loads of jobs are based around that. If you know about business though you may get a better job, loads of big accountancy firms etc have offices up there which'd be worth applying too.
If you're a student and just want some work the place I used to be at, UKI, runs a summer thing where you'll be trained up with a load of other students and the pay is OK, better than bar work and shops. You'll have to sell car insurance for Tesco, it's mind-numbingly tedious, but you can clear over |
