I laugh at how expectant and demanding we are nowadays.
Just because Justice made it, we expect it to be a "tune" and stop short of demanding more. They are not some sort of music churning machine. Don't like it, don't buy it. Give your opinion but don't moan and complain how you have been let down - that's up to the way you see it. If you were expecting music so good that gold will come out your speakers well then Justice are going to do that. And to step in defence of the band (not that they need to but just adding my two cents), bands like Pink Floyd released stuff that wasn't really well received when it came out (or at all). Still it would be foolish to argue they had "died" back then -.-. /rant. |

Having had a quiet eve last night and a good chance to listen to the ad a bit more, I really like this. Obviously with the vocals and a little bit with the chord progression, it reminds me of DVNO, but heavier, which is a-ok by me.
As a first single, I think it's encouraging as a sign of the quality of the rest of the album, although I do hope they've taken the opportunity to progress their sound over the last 4 years. Bring on the LP. |
