That means Turbo is supposed to have 5 releases in 2 months, sounds to good to be true.

So basically if a remixer does almost nothing to a track, the track becomes bad. Ok. Makes perfect sense.

Afrojack remix is mediocre, to be fair, it's all about the Gesaffelstein one for me.

that's nothing to do with the fact it's Afrojack, it's the fact that the build is pretty lame, the fact that it seems rather cut and paste, and it's just... it just doesn't do anything for me.

Also, not to break anyone's bubble, but Daft Punk must be pretty shitty because a lot of their tracks are REALLY similar to the tracks they sampled.

Come on, Afrojack's mix is not incredibly good in the way that it's similar to the original one, but if you just care about the final sound you can't say it's bad... Not going to be my favorite remix but it's not bad at all...

same with Afrojack himself, he did some stuff I really like such as Quacky and Real High, you can't say it's totally awful, maybe you just dont like the final thing...

Anyway, Gesaffelstein's the best in my opinion, can't wait to play it

Oh god, what has this forum come to. If adding drums, and pitch bending a note during the main riff is making a good song a "terrible" one, then I know I just can't have a conversation with you as you're probably not opened to arguments anyways.

Just replying to Kakarooke though: It kinda is. Stop with the Daft Punk worshipping, no need to be biased. People criticized Duck Sauce for Barbra Streisand, listen to Harder Better Faster Stronger and tell me it's not similar.

Poor remix, but it doesn't make the track bad, that's the point.

I actually think it's a very good remix if a little simple. Really fond of the pitch bend over those lovely opening chords.

but Barbra Streisand wasn't a 'remix' of Gotta Go Home, nor was HBFS a remix of Cola Bottle Baby. it's a flawed comparison and has shit all to do with me 'worshipping' Daft Punk, or in actual fact, shit all to do with Afrojack's remix.

But they easily could have been.... the name is the only technical difference

I get what you're saying, but to me the daft punk comparison doesn't work because;

I don't go all crazy over Daft Punk at home, I hardly ever find myself listening to any of their music, and if I had to recall, i'd say the last time is when I played Erol's remix of The Brainwasher, or Justice's remix of Human After All, which could have been in 2009, 2010, whatever.

However, when i'm out playing in a club, I sometimes find myself playing a little Daft Punk to please the American crowd, or to slow things down a little bit. But the thing is, I don't think I could ever work the originals the Daft Punk tracks are sampled from, into my sets. Re: the afrojack remix of Zzafrika, I could play either one of those in my set, but because of quality of the original, and plain old standards, I will never play any afrojack tunes in my set, and unlike the tracks Daft Punk sampled, I can work with Zzafrika just fine.

My 2¢

I don't like that attitude. Discussion of music should never be limited to praise.

Agreed, but this is fast turning into a hate thread. Which, if I'm not mistaken, was something this board was trying to cut down on a couple of months ago.

Yeah, absolutely. That's what I mean, people are hating on this remix because of the name in brackets. Ridiculous.

Note that there's no hate in my posts here, it's all the opposite. I didn't insult anyone's music, I still love Daft Punk and Duck Sauce's Barbra Streisand, and this remix doesn't harm the track in any way in my opinion.
I just stated that I found ridiculous how everyone tends to like/dislike what they're told to.
