We're discussing what's going to be the big summer hit, not what's good ;)

I'm standing by Hello. I went to Propaganda last night and they played it there.

Went down a storm in Fabric on saturday...

indeed! we're very excited for this release, danny has some more amazing tracks in the works now, release should be sometime in June if all goes well!

this needs a release.. now...

here's a preview "what it does" when played out..

..also, Seth did a good thing moving to Berlin. Growing in fame by the minute, no?

This is being rinsed all over where I am these days, think it'll be big for the summer.

I think a distinction needs to be made in regards to whether we're talking about the summer hit for the masses/mainstream crowd, or for the more underground dance crowd, or what? Lot of confusion seems to be stemming from that.

"summer hit" is a bit ambiguous, true.

I think most here would agree on defining summer-hit as whichever track transcends most dj's charts, disregarding genre and crowd-sizes.

I'll repeat my love for Danny Daze's masterpiece "Your Everything"

..But I don't think it will be 'the one' record that get's the most "air-time" on dance floors this summer.

:)

I, for myself, believe that the Summer Hit 2011, with the most common listeners won't be liked or chosen by most DJ's. Even I couldn't find anything amazing about 'We No Speak Americano'. It was just OK for me and a lot liked. Especially those who where on holidays to party-centers like Ibiza or Mallorca (for middle Europeans)... but here are some good ideas for clubs and stuff... Just heard Fresh 2011 by ETC! ETC! & Audiobot. good bassline and kind of summerly

Battle for middle you has been played by so many DJ's, its crossover is immense.

Well, I didn't heard much of the new SHM track in the last few weeks, but that's maybe because the summer season hasn't started yet (whereat it's freaking hot in germany this spring)

and are we talking about Julio Bashmore's 'Battle For Middle You'?

Well, somebody has to declare at least one song as the new Summer Hit 2011. And I actually don't believe, that it's going to happen here... this is more lead by either the music company or the young listeners...
but I think that we could discuss here about the new DJ Summer Hit 2011...

still waiting for the new Squatters song 'Higher', when should it be released anyway?

I would really like Yuksek - On a Train (Gucci Vump Remix (not dub)) to be the Summer Hit 11, the track that will be in every dj sets. But it won't ...

I'd be fine with that.

No idea about a date!

I think they will launch some remix and give the original at the end like they did with Barbra Streisand but an album will come but when, no idea!
