Feeling pretty empty and gutted lately. Chin up I suppose.

Sending out e-mails to people to inform them that we have closed the pub is not how I imagined spending this gloriously sunny day.

Feels pretty shitty actually.

Sorry to hear that mate. Is it long term closure?

Yep. Weren't getting enough people through the door to cover the costs.

Still, at least I have the original pub to go back to for work.

Kids on Twitter really piss me off. I know there's nothing anyone can do about it, but sometimes I pray for a separate over-16 version. All the trending topics about shit like #WhatMakes1DBeautiful and 'Demi Is Not Like The Rest' anger me to no end. Again there's nothing anyone can do about it, but that's what this thread is for, ranting, right?

It's been annoying me no end for quite a while now, more than it should.

I run out of beer earlier than i thought i would, and now I've run out of digestive biscuits, this is bullshit, oh and the company I only started working for less than three months ago might fire me soon on account that they're running out of money and I was the last one in. It's mainly the biscuit thing that's bothering me at the moment.

Yesterday I decided to make more time to practise mixing so I can build up the confidence to start playing out. Spent an hour playing lovely summer tunes in my room before my mixer broke. Going to take at least two weeks before it's repaired which means carting it into central london on my day off.

Went out for a meal with my gf in the evening to make me feel better and came home to a rejection email from the job i've spent £200+ getting suited and booted for. Been such a long interview process and spent so long practising and researching and revising so that I'd nail the interview. Interview went really well so I stupidly got my hopes up and now I'm stuck in my shitty job which is going nowhere and I feel so unmotivated to keep looking.

Fuck sake :(

Being dragged to see Miike Snow tonight. I've seen them live once before and that was enough for a lifetime. Geuninely the dullest band I've ever heard.

OOOH YEAH, IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!

We're moving to Manchester soon so this morning my girlfriend and I had to travel from London to Manchester for house hunting (as this was the only time I had booked off work). Here's how I spent my birthday:

Woke up really ill at 7am, late for 8am coach, only just got it, lost my bag in station, freaked out, found it, argued with gf about who made us late for coach (it was her), 6hr journey on stinking piss coach, running round manchester's estate agents like maniacs non stop from 2-7, got to hotel, they had no clue who we were, realised we were at a different travelodge, got lost finding right hotel, found it, had argument because I forgot hair stuff and refused to go for meal without doing my hair, left gf in hotel room and went on massive walk to find arndale shopping centre, got lost, finally found shopping centre, superdrug was closed, went to find tesco, found it, realised I left wallet in hotel and am now back in travelodge exhausted, sweaty and ill. Not going for a meal anymore.

Bloody hell dude. That sounds truly terrible.

At least you managed to find the hotel eventually though. Otherwise you'd be stuck on the streets/paying an extortionate amount I guess.

Oh, and Happy Birthday. Have a cake.

I rarely leave the house without styling my hair. If I hadn't got my hair paste, then I'd have the hump as well.

Eurgh. iPhone charging port is buggered. Phone is now dead. Had to happen the week where I've got about 3 interviews organised too. Ordered everything I need to fix it (screw £190 for a replacement one), but it's just really annoying timing.

Also, I have to check my hair before I leave too. I hasten to add that it's now a lot shorter and so takes a lot less time.

I love my friends, but they have the most narrow-minded, closed taste in music. And every party we have is a fucking nightmare.

^ Yup. When we have parties, I've made a conscious decision not to get involved with the music. Just isn't worth having any input when I know all anyone else wants to hear is rihanna, nicky minaj, and jay-z & kanye with a bit of 90s pop thrown in for the sake of irony. Same thing every time.

*Sigh* replacent charging port I ordered has a dodgy microphone. Also, the HDMI cable from my laptop to second monitor has broken. Not a good day for my electronics...

So my car got towed away by my Council earlier because my resident parking permit was 12 hours out of date. Was all massively unnecessary and stressful, and ruined my day. And it cost £265 to get it back, which I massively object to.

My car got clamped by a private company the week before xmas last year. It was in the car park at work without a permit for 20 mins before i realised and rushed outside, but it was too late. This was at a time when I was so broke I could barely afford presents for my family so was working a job I absolutely hated just to buy presents/ do stuff over xmas. Cost me £250 to get back (which I had to borrow off my brother's girlfriend). So all the money I earned which was meant to be spent on my family etc went on getting my car back. To top it all off, when the shitbags came to take off the clamped they said they hope I have a good xmas. Don't think I've ever been so furious in my life!

^ That's horrible, I think I'd have struggled to hold my tongue at that point.

Just annoys me that Councils/Private firms are using this as such a money making scheme. The fact that I have to have a permit to park outside my own house is annoying enough, but to then have to pay £265 and go through so much hassle because it expired a few hours before... just feels like underhand tactics from my council, as they clearly have a log of whose permits are about to expire and send the Wardens out to catch them.
