I see and hear more and more complaints about Soundcloud lately,
most of them about sc taking down dj mixes/remixes/edits etc. i know and understand they are under a lot of pressure and have little choice but to take these mixes down to avoid lawsuits etc but i always thought soundcloud kind of represented this need for an online platform for musicians -and in this case specifically dj's- to share their work. i think if anything, soundcloud is helping the industry by hosting these dj mixes so people can stumble upon a track they enjoy and go out and buy it. maybe instead of taking the mix down the uploader could agree in terms to always put a tracklist in the description |
