2011's most successful PR campaign?

I just don't understand the appeal. It's like a textbook example of sheep, following the crowd.

Why are you surprised. His sound is similar to Wolfgang/barbar etc. They are popular now...so his music gained popularity. It also helped remixing the biggest name in dance music (SHM).

I honestly don't understand the appeal of a lot of things which are popular.

i only had access to radio 1 in the car for a bit yesterday and found out that knife party is/are a side project of pendulum (i'd only previously seen that he/they is/are playing the bugged out weekender, headlining a stage too i think)

they also played some babar and nero :(

It's the skrillex sound, just on 130 bpm. Love pendulum though!

You are unwittingly making a PR of him yourself right now. I haven't heard of him until now.

Knife Party doesn't seem a very Daily Mail friendly name.

Quote:the recent rise in knife crime can be blamed on new rave group 'Knife Party'. Our sources can reveal that drug-fuelled teens stab each other for sick kicks while listening to the pounding techno beats.

Know some hardcore Knife Party fans on another forum I frequent; the phrase "Rob and Gareth from Pendulum" has been etched into my brain.
Personally I'm okay with them; I mean I'm not rushing out to buy the new EP but they're good at what they do and from what I've seen they don't take themselves too seriously (which is a big plus in the scene they're a part of).

If they'd made this music before Justice's first album you'd all bum them silly so don't pretend you're too cool for them now

I'm pissed, g'night

Pissed maybe but not wrong though.

It's funny how patrons of EAF have now taken a stance against excessive midrange. sure Mr Oizo or SebastiAn wouldn't have any excessive midrange in their tunes now would they.

I defdinetly wouldnt like it in any situation. It's just an aggressive, obnoxious noise.

I don't really enjoy Justice's new stuff (not because I'm 'too cool', I'm just not into that sound as much anymore), but Cross is a hundred times more imaginative and charismatic, and to be honest, cool, than any of this crap.
