I was supposed to be DJing yesterday but I had to cancel it. The rest of the weekend - pretty much nothing planned, but next Friday I'm FINALLY seeing Tiga, and I am VERY excited about it.

You should be ! Every time I've seen him play it was a great set, nice tunes and besides the usual 'banger' stuff he played quite a few relaxed tracks which I love. :)

Same here. Weekends are empty and that hasn't been a bad thing. Something tells me my party/life/work balance is very much out.

This weekend I've got a double header though - ten year school reunion on Friday to see a heap of people I don't really care for (not seen them in ten years for a reason) and then a mate's birthday in East London. Most likely drinks at the flat, Jaguar Shoes and then a gypsy funk ho-down at Passing Clouds.

Tonight it's my night at a club here - sold out all 500 advance tix, hopefully get another 4 or 500 through on the door. Fingers crossed!

Then tomorrow going to TRY to get up at 8am and go down me local for RSD - my top purchase is that Jay Dee Think Twice 7". Lack of sleep and hangover might jinx that tho...

Then saturday night going to Surrey for a mate's birthday, last train back business. Should be fun!

And try and do some (job) work and (dissertation) work too.

So the hip hop show was a success. Bad acts throughout the night with a few decent ones peppered in. The only people there were my friends but it was a group of 20+ people so it was intimate. They all loved it and I screwed up right at the climax of Brain Storm[last song of the set] (accidentally brushed the cue button with my wrist). The audio guy and I met eyes and both look confused, I quickly realized it was my fault. Started the track at the beginning and then pitched it down to a crawl to save my ass. Everyone thought I did it on purpose. Quick wits I guess.

Did 14 songs in 30 minutes. Was mixing in and out constantly, super focused, time flew by.

I'm massively skint, so not doing much this weekend. Night in on synths/PS3 tonight. Just getting back into the gym after a few months of ruining myself, so might spend the morning there tomorrow and Sunday. Possibly a few chilled beers tomorrow evening with mates.
