It's no guarantee of a constructive or balanced critical community appearing. I suppose there may well be a bit if that, but at least you will know they have made some effort in order to post their own stuff. Hopefully people will realise that in order to get a constructive response they will have to offer their own first. Also, don't forget that this is a forum for finished tracks, not works in progress (there is a thread for that in the Producer's forum). So offering simple praise like "great track" is fine by me. Personally, I know that, no matter how desperate I was to get my post count up, I wouldn't post a positive response on a track that I didn't like. |

I was thinking about it, but I think it's too late now. There's loads of spammers already and they know about its existence so they will just keep on coming back... Yeah it is cluttered... Was previously signed up to here as GetWhat but we had a change of heart and then some spam program prevented us from posting on any forum we go on for no reason. Just signed back up the other day and was hit with 7 or 8 threads from the same person on one page.
Something like one thread per user, per week maybe? But increase the amount of tracks/mixes that you can post into the thread. Incase someone wants to share more than one track or something? Oh well... Best be cracking on with getting our posts up again! |

Eh, in my opinion the purpose of the 'Your Music' forum should be to show music by members of the forum, by people that already like the forum itself. It shouldn't be the purpose to sign up just to be able to promote oneself. As it is, it is difficult for the members to get some attention in the your music section because the board moves fast because of the spammers. If you're genuinely interested in the various forums a post limit of 50 or 100 posts isn't that much and would keep the spammers away. I also don't believe that many would spam the other forums just to get enough posts, for somebody that is just interested in quick promotion this takes too much time. The best solution would be if you could only post there after you have given feedback to other tracks/mixes, but I guess this is technically almost impossible. |

Nice work Bela. Like it.

and I was just thinking...I'll need to test one thing, but I'll need some of you guys to check if it's working (somebody without an admin/mod status) I will try to CLOSE Your Music forum - it should be visible, but you won't be able to post in there - I was wondering if you'll still be able to post in the Original Tracks / I Am A DJ subforums once the main forum is closed...probably not, but it's worth a try, just to avoid new topics in like the 'main' forum... but, not now, later today. x Forum issues? Haha. Yeah. We will probably be deleting the Press Release type posts. Focusing on moving all the old posts over now.

At the risk of spamming this board...
I figured out that if you do a full edit of the first post of a thread you can change the thread title so you can update an ongoing thread with new productions/mixes is it clear though or does it not really register when you're browsing? have a look ta |

We are discussing on what to do with the recent spam now that the forum has been split into their differing sections. We will let you know what we decide on. We will then gauge the response appropriately. Thanks for all of the discussion about this.
