With vocal work by Grovesnor of Hot Chip, only a 40 second preview but needless to say it will be a hit

Well I thought Foreign Language was excellent, and I don't know how this is going to hit all the marks he did

i'm not doubting that it will be good...but you can't really decipher much about the track from that preview

I was really hoping for another excellent pop anthem, but this housey direction isn't too bad

The preview of the Daze-remix has vocals in it.

Heard this when they played it live here a few weeks ago. I thought the set overall was subpar but people went crazy the whole way through. This was a really standout track though, been trying to find it with no luck since I heard it, glad to find out it's being released soon. There's another version on soundcloud remixed by David August:

Not sure about these remixers, to be honest... friends of the band maybe? Seems like with the production value they put into their preview video they could've hired some big guns. Still, the original is probably the first track of theirs I'll play out... Couldn't stand that "Crave You" joint and lost a lot of cred after it came out they didn't even play their keyboard bits. But a great track is a great track and this is certainly one of their best.

I thought people were really lenient with the whole sample pack thing?

I just meant they lost a lot of cred in my mind (and to, um, Olivers Vaughn and Goldstein), but I guess most people don't care one way or the other. And maybe it's kind of a moot point with how much sampling of whole songs goes on, but sample packs sort of take the fun out of cratedigging and trying to flip something around, you know? It's not like MF Doom digs out a .WAV library called "Spooky TV Movie Dialogue Vol. 12," he has to stay up until whatever godawful hour that trash is on cable or actually go buy VHS at flea markets and shit.

Bit of a sore spot for me I guess. No love lost for people who sample drums and percussion or equipment they don't have, but Steve Angello and the like strike me as a bit cynical with their approach.

(Here's the spotting vid, not sure if this has been posted before)

I completely agree, I actually posted this awhile back, but no one seemed particularly disappointed. To be honest, no one really cared

Reminds me a bit of Digital Love or something, only not as good.

Edit: Really feeling the Daze-remix.

Wow the teaser makes it seem like it's going to be a dubby, dirty track but the full version is way more poppy. Dislike. The teaser is better.

Love the bassline in the teaser, wish it featured more prominently in the full version. was expecting to like this a lot more than I am, hopefully it's a grower...

Grown on me somewhat but I still think this would be amazing without the vocals.

Vocals kind of annoying, plus that video looks to be a little more than just inspired by Daft Punks Interstella 5555...
