Liminal Sounds presents a showcase from Templar Sound, an independent record label based in Sydney, Australia.

Since launching in March 2011, Templar Sound has released music from artists based both in Sydney (The Bennisons, Dro Carey) and across the globe. A host of these artists will be coming together for the first time on June 8 presented by Liminal Sounds.

Headlining the event will be Montreal duo Grown Folk. Known for their blend of smooth house and hazy rap, Grown Folk released their debut City Wind EP early in 2011 on the label. The pair will soon be following that up with their Cloud City EP, a collaboration with Oakland, California rap duo Main Attrakionz.

Berlin-based artist Bardeya will be joining Grown Folk on the bill while label head Aidan Bennison will be playing a set as Templar Soundsystem. Legendary grime producer Youngstar will also be spinning with Trim on MC duties. They are joined by fellow London artists Citizen and Skanky, to complete a diverse line-up reflecting the grime-tinged variety of Templar Sound.
