and I could use some tips and advices, as it's my first time out there
I'm going to Prague, Berlin, Amsterdan and Paris. all I know so far is that I'm undoubtedly checking out Berghain when in Berlin, apart from a few regular touristic spots. what else can't I miss? |

A backup party in case you get turned away at Berghain as they tend to spot & sort out most tourists. I've seen many dreams being shattered in a split second in the queue. Last time I went there 4 loud english blokes before me got sent away (thank god).
Paris has obviously the Rex Club, the Batofar (it's a boat with parties on it!), Social Club, Showcase, and the Nouveau Casino. A kismet for Aksimet |

If you're going to Paris these days, don't miss Reverie Festival with a stunning line-up: http://www.lastfm.pl/festival/3284557+Reverie+Festival+

I'll only be in Paris later in July so I'm going to miss Reverie, that's one down. on the other hand I'll be able to check out Trouw
and what would be a good backup party in Berlin in case the worst does happen? |

Weekend is good, as are countless others. Check Resident Advisor, but to be honest there is that much good going on in Berlin you tend to be on for a good night wherever you go. I'm sure people must've had a bad night there sometime, but honestly in the 3 or 4 times i've been, everywhere I've found has been great.

If you're going to visit Europe in the summer you might want to check out some festivals instead of club nights. Trouw in Amsterdam is closed for example.

regarding berlin:
-visit the flea market at mauerpark on sunday -eat falafel in kreuzberg -the "badeschiff" -good alternatives for berghain are: wilde renate, ritter butzke, kater holzig, prince charles and gretchen (if you are into electro). depends always on the lineup though. have fun! |

Katerholzig has an even harder door than Berghain, fyi.

right now I'm leaning more towards bass, detroit, techno/tech-house, but I'm down for some good electro too
given the nature of a trip like that, I'd be willing to check out anything you guys say is worth checking out, really thanks for the heads up Larvi @Slick and housecat87 so, is Trouw going to be open or not? I'm lost (and yeah, I'll definitely be chasing festivals) @Jack Fruit appreciate the suggestions man, keeping all of those in mind EDIT: speaking of festivals, any good ones I should be on the lookout before they sell out? |

I can only speak for Holland to be honest when it comes to festivals. Some suggestions for one-day festivals are extrema-outdoor.com, mysterland.nl and valtifest.nl Trouw is closed in August... |

Sorry to hijack this a bit, but does anyone have any experience with Melt festival? Heading to Berlin that weekend and we were hoping to get tickets off ebay possibly. Can you buy a one day ticket or is it a full weekend ticket only?

I've never heard anything negative about it and people always say it's awesome. Great location too! Still want to go there myself one time... Too bad my friends don't like the music / aren't interested. It's a really popular festival and that's why it's sold out already. |

Berlin: Don't bother with Watergate. Go to Hardwax and Space Hall.
Prague: Don't bother with Karlovny Lazne. Very liberal drug policy, plz abuse. "I focused on the dubstep and forgot the garage and funky. I swore UK garage sounds different....but I listen to a lot of hardcore." |

Watergate can be fun but it really depends on the lineup.
Some lesser known cool clubs are about:blank and Suicide Circus, the latter doesn't have regular nights though. A kismet for Aksimet |

A new club opened this weeekend, called Chalet. Owners are former Bar25 people.
Heard the first night was very crowded and the door "friendly as always" (=a nightmare). http://www.residentadvisor.net/news.aspx?id=17036 A kismet for Aksimet |
