gunshot noises.

spinbacks.

smoke.

lasers.

4 minutes silence to build up the crowd into a frenzy.

Then drop 'safety dance'.

All staples in opening ANY of my sets.

Geoff Leopard and my good self finnished off our set last night with the 'Terminator X Getaway Scratch Remix' of 'Your Gonna Get Yours' by Public Enemy to raptureous applause from the ten remaining punters and assemled barstaff.

"Goodnight Newcastle, you've been a hell of a crowd!"

Funny thing happened the other week, we were djing at a venue upstairs when a fight broke out downstairs in the beer garden where two people were stabbed, the police were called in & they evacuated everyone from the venue, closed down the street temporarily and made 8 arrests. In the proccess of evacuating the venue they locked the exit to upstairs so we were left with a crowd of 12 people to play to for the night, naturally we started our set with who made who - hello empty room :)

Funny thing is we were none the wiser any of this happened till the end of the night!

I'm after an audio clip of John Anderson off of Gladiators shouting:
"CONTENDERS.......RRRRREADY?
GLADIATORS.....RRRRRRREADY?
3.....2.....1 ......"

any ideas?

My sister gave me the genius idea of using the line 'Hello, is it me you're looking for?' from the Lionel Richie song of the same name looped at the start of a set. I wonder how many bottles i'd take to the head if I actually did that.

Anoint the decks with the blood of a recently de-flowered maiden and things just seem to take care of themselves after that.
