Anthony (owner of KBC) teased me with a screenshot of his itunes featuring Momy, Army and Motor, he is a real bastard lol =P (just kidding <3)

and I'm pretty sure it's "Momy", because the artwork spells it like that ;)

Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?

Like I said, a screenshot proves nothing at all...other than one's abiltiy to rename files.

And of all the tracks to hype up...

It was a bad idea to name ALL OF THE FILES IN THE SAME MANNER AS MOTOR'S LINK.

So me allowing people to listen to upcoming music means that I don't purchase music? Fuck that, I buy records all the time, and when I'm not buying records, I buy MP3s from DJDownload and Beatport.

But you don't just let them listen to it, you let them download it as well. That just reduces the chances of people bothering to buy the music, especially if they're getting them from places like Beatport where you can purchase individual tracks.

Ok I see your logic there Stevie, some people will just download it without paying, so are you suggesting in future we make it listen-only? Because I am happy to do that, sound good? :)

Fuck the childish popularity contest. If some of you bloggers really want to try spread the word rather than try getting folk to your site due to stupidly high bitrate files free for download then change what you do.

The most popular blogs are the ones trying to link to the latest hyped track and the best blogs with the best music are disapearing daily. When I say best music Im talking about artists not known to the masses of 'electro' fans.

Most of the popular blogs want people to come to their site more than any of other factor. Its like watching an even more childish version of Clueless, except substituting dumb attention seeking american girls for 'hey everyone look at me im so fucking cool' bloggers.

Get a grip. Blogging has made a massive impact for the better in the last few years for electro and other electronic music but now its the major contributing force in some decent music being incredibly throw away.

Artists used to spend a certain amount of time on a track and that track would continue to be played in many multiples of the time spent. Now the track could last as long as it took them to make it. Which in fact was I love out houses argument about 3 tracks that wouldnt be worth buying. I disagreed because you could always sell it after a month but paying 5/6/7/8 quid for a track/EP with one good track that becomes overplayed even before the vinyl has been circulated is bad news for everyone.

And yeah, anyone can upscale an mp3 to a large size, just like sizing up in photoshop or those crappy upscaling HD boxes. All of this is making the music scene a diluted throw away mess

Give your head a shake.

How about listing some tracks you love from last 2 years?

tottally agree le coop.

people like sebastiAn dont need hype. people just link is tracks to they get an extra gazillion hits from the hype machine.

seems to be a race to get the track out aswell which leads to people been bored of it by the time it is released.

honestly that fuking half a page in mixmag has better reviews of tracks than the blogs do these days

. all i see on blogs these days is things such as . "midfield general has a single out so heres every single fucking track off it in 320kb/s" throw justices name into the title so it gets more hits unall . they might aswell just put his whole fucking back catalogue in a rar and upload it
