COOL HOUSE and ANNIE MAC presents Tour

Cool House are very pleased to welcome Radio 1's Annie Mac as part of The 'Radio 1 Presents Uk Tour'.

Headlining at the Great Hall alongside Annie is Erol Alkan who returns to Cool House after his superb set in February this year. We also welcome the duo responsible for this years club and chart anthem 'We are your Friends' - Simian Mobile Disco.

In room two we are delighted to welcome the critically acclaimed House and Techno DJ/Producer, Funk D'Void of Soma Records. Cool House Residents Dave Mills, Matt Joy, Andrew Aubrey, Matt Owen and Gez O'Neil will also be in support.

finally... (cardiff is definetly feasable for me :))
i missed erol last time he played cool house, but as hes doing it again, along with the mighty SMD & mac who aint that bad herself... this sounds defiently worth the effort of getting off my arse.

... was one amazing night... the best night ive ever had by FAR! was my first time seeing Erol play live (I know shamefull)...
I was dancing like an absolute nutter non stop (Erol, you may have spotted me at the front... wearing my E.R.O.L 'Groupie' T-Shirt :P). the kind of dancing where everyone was coming up to me asking what ive taken... but surprisinly i didnt touch any of them illegal substances (Drug Free Since '83) and also idnt even drink that much either...

after crashing some unknown freshers house party, and pissing them all off, we got to the Great Hall, just in time to see SMD kick of the set... (although im not sure which one of the Jamesss was in attendance... the one in the glasses anyway:P) Followed 2 hours later by Miss Mac, who both played really great enjoyable sets of electro & eclectic house... anyway as you would have guessed, they obviously couldnt' compare to the set Erol wsa about to pull off...
ill try not to go on too much cos i do go on ... but ill mention a few highlights, kicked off wth that Spankin Hot Spank Rock track. what a start! he continued to amaze with a fine little reworking of 'Blue Monday' which sounded fuckin awesome mate! couple of others to note would be Soulwax's anthemic remix of SITWOC, Erol's almighty mixes of Wink VS Rapture, Franz Ferd, Digitalism, and even a bit of Plasikman & Prodigy!.. but of course nothing compared to the carnage he caused when he dropeed Rage Agains The Machines 'Killing In The Name Of'! FUCK, he was holding the mixer up in the air in one hand, and mixing with the other! Who else could pull that kind of stuff off... anyway the whole place was bouncin and i swear i was close to some sort of heart-attack or seizure at this point.....

anyway... thouroughly enjoyed! feeling rough now, lost my voice completely... and ive got a job intervew tomorrow.!!! should be fun...
